The highest levels of the Bush administration knew about and approved the CIA's torture of suspected terrorists. "This government does not torture people." Or so President George Bush declared on October 5, 2007. Unless we repudiate torture, vehemently and without exception, those of us who don't already fear the Feds soon will.
